Description:
Bulb ovoid to globose, 10-15 mm in diam.; outer tunics blackish-grey, papery. Stem in the lower part with reflected hairs, above nearly smooth and glabrous, 30-70 cm tall, c. 5-6 mm in diam. Leaves 1-2, linear-lanceolate, covered with long reflected hairs, 15-30 cm long and 5-20 mm wide. Spathe membranaceous, with very short tip, ca. as 1/2 as long as the pedicels, pale brownish with purplish veins. Umbel fasciculate-semiglobose rarely subglobose, rather lax, many-flowered, 4-6 cm in diam. Pedicels equal, without bracts. Perianth star-shaped; tepals ca. 6 mm long, linear-lanceolate, obtuse, pink to pale violet with darker midvein, after anthesis recurved and twisted. Filaments longer than the tepals, at base connate and slightly widened, above subulate, pale to deep pink.
