Description:
Bulb ovoid 0.5-0.75(1) cm thick; outer tunics greyish-brown or brown, coriaceous, subreticulately nerved; bulblets few, small. Stem 10-25(40) cm tall, covered to l/3 with leaf sheaths. Leaves 2-4, filiform, semicylindric, canaliculate, 0.5-1.5 mm wide. Spathe 1.5 times shorter than the umbel, with short beak, sometimes pink-tinged, usually persistent. Umbel without bulblets, fasciculate-hemispherical or subspherical, dense, many-flowered. Pedicels subequal, without bracteoles. Perianth campanulate. Tepals pink, with a dingy purple midvein, unequal, the outer ones (4)5-6 mm long, strongly tapering, acute, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, rarely lanceolate, 1/4 to 1/2 as long and 1/2 as broad as the oblong-elliptic inner tepals. Filaments 2-3 times shorter than outer perianth segments, in 1/3-1/2 of their lenght connate and adnate to perianth, triangular, the inner filaments broadly triangular, 2-3 times as broad as the outer ones. Style not exserted.
